In January 2018, Liz’s friend Karen (A.K.A. Bomaster) tagged her in a Facebook post. “Ever wanted to see Everest up close?” Liz replied “would love to do it! How hard can it be?” - How wrong she was… Two months prior, Liz’s father passed away from bowel cancer. She was already fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK and Karen always wanted to go to Everest - so they both took it as an ideal opportunity to raise some serious money for charity, in honour of Liz’s dad.

So Liz and Karen set off on a journey to train for the adventure of a lifetime. To Base Camp and Beyond.
