During the first lockdown in 2020, I decided to host a weekly virtual quiz for a total of 11 weeks. I wanted to make the quizzes feel unique and different that usual ‘bog standard’ quizzes, so I incorporated various elements from my ‘filming world’ and found a way to use these to make the quiz rounds a lot more interesting. Here you can replay each of the eleven quizzes and watch some of the rounds that appeared.

WEEKS ONE AND TWO

The second week’s edition of Shane’s Virtual Quiz Night featured the ‘Guess the Ad’ round. During the break, some unusual adverts played which were constructed from archival footage from previous projects. Here are a few of them.

WEEKS THREE AND FOUR

The fourth episode of Shane’s Virtual Quiz Night took viewers to the red carpet after the new ‘trailer’ for Cruella premiered. Due to technical difficulties with the streaming, viewers watching live missed the ending to this round, however it is now here to view in it’s entirety. Also some birthday celebrations were missed and I felt it was imported to show these again so those included could re-watch those announcments.

WEEKs FIVE and six

Week Five’s episode was streamed on a very special day. My mum’s birthday! So I got the family together to film little birthday messages that was played just before the ad break. Also for a very special round featuring Hugo and Dodo, I re-edited myself into a previously filmed video to work with the quiz as my nan ‘Dodo’ visits the USA,

WEEKS NINE AND TEN - PRE RECORDED EDITION

After eight weeks live, I took a few weeks - however the quiz still went on with two pre-recorded editions that premiered at the same time.
